Her life has reached the end

Dear brothers and sisters, my grandma passed away 5am today, 30th September. She had been in pain for a very long time; bed ridden since a year ago, in sickness for about 3 years. Her condition worsened 2 weeks ago due to her kidney failure and newly diagnosed cancer. Internal bleeding since last week made dialysis impossible hence the acidity of her blood slowly took her life away.

My father managed to come home from China on time to see her for the last time.

Thank you to all of you who have been praying for her. My sister Wai Siong managed to tell her of God's love, but she couldn't talk because she was choking on her own blood. She only groaned and frowned when she heard of God. We don't know if she is reconciled to God. Only our Father knows.

I learned one thing from this. I shouldn't have waited all those years, hesitating to tell her about Jesus. I waited, I told myself the time will come. But I waited too long; that I forgot about it.

An atheist once said if what we Christians say about our God is true, he would walk a mile on broken glass just to save one soul. I was not wiling to walk that mile of broken glass for my grandma.

Brothers and sisters, the burden of the Lord will always and forever be His people.

Take my yoke upon you and learn from me,
for I am gentle and humble in heart,
and you will find rest for your souls.
For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”
Matt 11:29-30
